On The Menus:
Navigate entirely with the mouse. You get to draw the parts of your critter!
In First Person:
Move/Navigate: WASD/Left Joystick
Look: Mouse/Right Joystick
Pickup/Interact: RMB/East Face Button
Throw Held Object: LMB/ West Face Button
Jump: Space/ South Face Button
Return to Drawing Menu: Tab/Start
An attempt to make quite literally anything into a pet. Heavily inspired by Amazing Island for the GameCube.
This jam I got to making the systems work, but we don't yet have a compelling gameplay loop. You can draw your critter and play fetch. Occasionally the pet will get hungry and wait by its food bowl until it gets fed. There is also a brush you can use to wash your pet, but this is cosmetic only.
Your critter should save between sessions, but they will be lost if you clear your cache :(
Labra-Doodle was created as part of the Game Dev Field Guide Monthly Game Jam #43 where the theme was "Pets can be anything".
